Jazz Club

Off to the Iridium Jazz Club to hear Monty Alexander, Nice! He’s a Jamacian pianist who fuses Jazz favourites with a calipso or reggie feel, Super!. They were recording the evening for his next CD, Grrreat! I enjoyed this very much except for the cost for a 50 minute performance - they cram three sets into one evening, Hmmm! This seems to be the norm for NYC Jazz clubs, Ripoff!

Metropolitan Museum of Art

Another attempt at finding some modern art in NYC - after the meeting Jonathan and i hacked off to the MOMA only to realise the collection had been moved to Queens during the refurbishment, so then took a cab to the Guggenheim, again, only to discover it was closed thanks to a water leak. So we were due some good karma, which we found in abundance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
