Leftie!

lefty.jpg

According to The World’s Smallest Political Quiz, i’m an out and out leftie. Even though this goes against the findings of more detailed quizes taken in the past (see Holier than Thou), i’m now a legitimate target for the The Leftie Insult Generator.

Some Consolation

Guide Dog1

Ok, so there was this Football Match last night which England lost. On penalties. After 30 minutes of extra time. And after the useless Swiss referee disallowed Sol Campbell’s last minute goal. And Wayne Rooney was injured. So as some small consolation here are some of the photos which were flying on Email around today.

Snack Attack!

habas.jpg

On the day we learn how Pret a Manger are to launch pork scratchings and the Today Programme has an item on chocolate covered pork fat, i became seriously addicted to Habas Mujados (deep fried broad beans) which Lucy bought in Bar 146. Scrummy!

Football Badgers

footballbadger.jpg

Last week on a standards telcon Jacek confessed over IRC to being addicted to Badger, Badger, Badger, Badger, Badger, Badger, Badger, Badger, Mushroom, Mushroom having planted that ear-worm in our collective heads i went off to huntdown the other toons that Mark mentioned to show to my kids. Our favourite being the Footballing Badgers, all rather apposite given i was missing England (v) Switzerland at the time of the telcon.

Fifteen

fifteen.jpg

An evening at Fifteen, Jamie Oliver’s charity restaurant. I was surprised to realise it was behind the Old St BT office which i worked in for a couple of years and close to the pub famous in the folk song “up and down the city road, in and out the Eagle, that’s the way the money goes, pop goes the weasel”.

All i can say is the food and service was excellent, we had no complaints whatsoever, and it’s well worth supporting this fantastic establishment! Apparently we missed Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston by one night. Bah - they missed us more like :-)
