Southwold's pier has been recently refurbished and now bosts a water clock and arcade with machines made by Tim Hunkin.
My favourite was the doctor who listens to your chest and then writes an illegible presciption:
The water clock is great, made from recycled copper water tanks. The figures are animated every half-hour under hydrolic pressure from the bath.
Typical lads - can't hit the pot!
Well worth a visit!
