We had some excellent meals here in Nice. Some of the best value fare was to be found on stalls selling "beignets" - battered vegetables or fish cooked in a wood-fired oven, "pissaladiere" - onion, olive and anchovy tart all served with the obligatory Salad Niçoise and cheap wine.
