You know mid-January isn't the best time to visit Edinburgh, it's on the 55th Parallel along with Moscow, Hudson Bay and Alaska, there's only 7¼ hours of daylight, yet it's warm and wet thanks to the good old Gulf Stream (let's hope that doesn't change anytime soon). BUT the Fish 'n' Chips are great, as are the pubs, so put "one in the pump" for me.
